City of Augusta and the Augusta Convention & Visitors Bureau
Regarding the Augusta Wayfinding Sign System

The City of Augusta agrees to recognize the Augusta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) as the
managing entity of the Augusta Wayfinding Sign System. The Wayfinding Sign System currently consists
of Downtown Augusta Gateways, and Banners and the forthcoming City of Augusta Gateways and
Banners. Future phases will include vehicular and pedestrian directional signs. As the managing entity,
the ACVB will continue to oversee the installation of the system and will be responsible for determining
the contents of the signs. Furthermore, the ACVB will be organization in which all requests for inclusion
in the sign system are made. The ACVB will work closely with the City of Augusta's Traffic and
Engineering Department, Trees and Landscaping and with the Georgia Department of Transportation.
