The supply of city flags is nearly depleted, and some commissioners have inquired about
creating a new flag for our consolidated government. So, the time is right to make a
change, if that is the desire of the commission.
The suggested design of the new flag has been previously sent to you for feedback. I
have received no negative responses. Hence, I ask you today to adopt the attached design
. as the official flag for the consolidated government of Augusta-Richmond County.
The design uses a green banner, overlaid with the official seal of Augusta in a yellow-
gold. .
The alternatives to adopting the new flag would be to develop another design or to order
more quantities of the current flag, which is the flag of the former City of Augusta.
