AUGUSTA, GEORGIA, a political subdivision of the State of Georgia, acting by and
through the Augusta-Richmond County Commission, as party of the First Part, and
WILLIAM T. BASS, LANE P. GARRETT and SAMUEL R. PENN, as parties of the
Second Part,
WITNESSETH:
That this conveyance is made pursuant to a Resolution dilly adopted on September
5, 2006, by the Augusta-Richmond County Commission authorizing the sale of property
hereinafter described and authorizing the conveyance of said property (a copy of said
Resolution being attached hereto as Exhibit liB ").
That the said party of the First Part, for and in consideration of the sum of Ten
Dollars and other good and valuable consideration, in hand paid, at and before the sealing
and delivery of these presents, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has granted,
bargained, sold and conveyed, and by these presents does grant, bargain, sell and convey

RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE SALE OF 819 CAMELIA R
TO WILLIAM T. BASS, LANE P. GARRETT and SAMUEL R. P
Opy
WHEREAS, the Augusta Commission (hereinafter "City" or "Augusta") has approved
the sale of 819 Camelia Road, Map and Parcel No. 032-1-085-00-0, to adjacent landowners
William T. Bass, owner of 821 Camelia Road and Lane P. Garrett and Samuel R. Penn, owners
of 817 Camelia Road (collectively hereinafter "adjacent landowners"); and
WHEREAS, said property is more paIiicularly described on a plat and a true and correct
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
WHEREAS, such property is unique as it is only seventy (70) feet wide on Can1elia Road
aI1d that is the widest point, as such, said property does not meet Augusta's requirements for a
buildable lot; and
WHEREAS, the Augusta Commission is authorized to sell or convey parcels of small or
narrow strips ofland incapable of being used independently to adjoining laI1downers without the
use of the bid process as stated in O.C.G.A. 9 36-9-3(h); and
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the above recitals, Augusta and adjacent
landowners will enter an agreement, the material tenus of which are as follows:
1. Said property shall be sold in accordance with the Official Code of Georgia to the
owners of the adjacent property.
2. The fair market value of said property is $12,500.00, having been determined by a
licensed propeliy appraiser.
3. Augusta will retain an easement across and through said property for ingress and
egress to other property of Augusta, including but not limited to Lake Aumond.
4. Augusta will sell aI1d adjacent landowners will purchase from Augusta said
propeliy for the sum of $12,500.00 cash and each paIiy is to pay its own attomeys fees and
expenses of said sale. The Mayor of Augusta' is authorized to sign all documents necessary to
close the sale of said propeliy.
Adopted this 5yhday of September, 2006 and binding upon the City, its commissions,
departments, agencies and delegates.
