THIS CONVEYANCE made and executed the JI~~day of January
1999.
WITNESSETH that Rich's Department Stores, Inc. ("Grantor"), is
the owner of a tract of land in RICHMOND COUNTY, through which a
project involving Wrightsboro Road at Bobby Jones Expressway known
as Project Wrightsboro Road Operational Improvements, has been laid
out by Southern Partners, Inc. , such proj ect being more
particularly described in a map and drawing dated Nov. 4, 1997, in
the Suburban Public Works Department, to which reference is hereby
made, a portion of which tract Grantee (defined below) needs to
acquire in connection with such project.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the benefit to said tract
of land by the construction and maintenance of said project, and in
consideration of THIRTEEN THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS
($13,100.00), in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged, Grantor does hereby bargain, sell, remise, release,
trans fer, convey and forever quitclaim unto Augusta, Georgia, a
political subdivision of the State of Georgia ("Grantee"), all of
Grantor's right, title, interest, claim, or demand in and to the
land described as "Parcel 'A' (0.052 Acres)" in Exhibit A attached
hereto and made a part hereof, consisting of 0.052 acre, more or
less, as shown on Exhibit B, a survey of said property prepared by
James G. Swift & Associates , dated July 24, 1998, signed by the
surveyor on July 29, 1998, and revised N/A, attached hereto and
made a part hereof, and together with all rights, members and
appurtenances in any manner appertaining or belonging to said
property;

Grantor shall at any time or by any means or ways, have, claim or
