GEORGiA, RICHMOND COUNTY I Pll,-_ ::.:~O v C) .,- 3: ~0z W n(.f) .. 00 PROJECT: South AL!gi1sta~ Recreation Complex -; THIS CONVEYANCE, made and executed this}o ~ay of )/~ ~ 1998, WITNESSETH that Geonna Transmission Comoration, Uk/a Og-Iethorpe Power Corporation, the undersigned is the owner of a tract of land in Richmond County through which a certain roadway for the South Augusta Recreation Complex has been laid out by Cranston, Robertson & Whitehurst, P,c., being more particularly described on a map and drawing of said project in the Public Works Department, to which reference is hereby made. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the benefit to said property owner by the construction and maintenance of said project, and in consideration of ONE DOLLAR ($1.00), in hand paid, and other good and valuation consideration, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, I do hereby grant, sell and convey to AUGUSTA, GEORGIA, a political subdivision of the State of Georgia, and its successors, so' much land as to make a right-of-way for said project as surveyed. SAID right-of-way is hereby conveyed in fee simple, consisting of 0.22 acre, more or less, as shown on a plat of the property prepared by Cranston, Robertson & Whitehurst, P,c., dated May 11, 1998 and revised July 30, 1998, attached hereto and made a part of this description. As a part of the consideration for said conveyance, Augusta, Georgia covenants as follows: ( 1) . Augusta, Georgia agrees to grant Georgia Transmission Corporation an easement to construct, operate, maintain and renew overhead and underground electric transmission, distribution and communication lines together with all rights and privileges necessary or convenient for full enjoyment or use of said strip for the purposes above described. (High V oltage Safety Act) and agrees to notify any employee, contractor or agent working in the vicinity of the transmission line that the conductors are energized, uninsulated and dangerous. (3) Right-of-Way is granted subject to rod alignment as shown on attached right-of-way map and road elevation as shown on the profile map of August 21, 1998. (4) Right-of-Way is granted subject to curb and gutter construction and a posted speed limit of 25 miles per hour. TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said conveyed premises in fee simple. Grantor hereby specifically warrants that it has the right to sell and convey said land and bind itself and its successors and will forever defend by virtue of these presents.
