AMENDMENT #1
CONTRACT BETWEEN AUGUSTA, GEORGIA
AND
NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, INC.
FOR
YEAR 2005 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
This First Amendment to agreement is entered into by and between AUGUSTA, GEORGIA, by
and through the Augusta-Richmond County Commission, hereinafter referred to as "Grantee,"
and NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, INC., hereinafter referred to as
"Subrecipient. "
WHEREAS, the Grantee entered into an agreement with Subrecipient for the term beginning
January 1, 2005, through December 31, 2005, through which Subrecipient is to administer the
"Healthy Kids Augusta" tutorial and fitness program at the Barton Village Community Center.
This program benefits low income youths. A copy of said Contract is attached as Exhibit 1 to
this First Amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Grantee awarded $5,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds to
Subrecipient January 1, 2005, said project is included in Augusta, Georgia's Year 2005 Action
Plan.
WHEREAS, Subrecipient desires to amend the budget to allow the "Healthy Kids Augusta"
tutorial and fitness program to move to the McDuffie Woods Community Center, approved by
the Augusta Richmond County Commission on October 18. 2005.
NOW, THEREFORE, said contract is amended as follows:
Revision 1. Appendix B. Paragraphs 4 "Goals, Objectives, and Tasks"
Community Development Block Grant funds will be used to administer the
"Healthy Kids Augusta" tutorial and fitness program at the McDuffie Woods
Community Center.
All other terms and conditions of the Original Contract not expressly amended herein shall
remain in full force and effect.
