CONTRACT TO PROVIDE RECREATION SERVICES
This agreement made this 2- day of ~~ , 2005 by and between the Miss
Augusta Scholarship Pageant Board, an unincorporated not for profit association, and Augusta,
Georgia, a political subdivision ofthe State of Georgia..
WHEREAS, the Miss Augusta Scholarship Pageant Board has served the citizens of
Augusta, Georgia and surrounding communities for many years through the staging of the annual
Christmas Fantasy parade which is enjoyed by all and this program and service have thereby
afforded the citizens of Augusta additional recreational programs which have supplemented
those programs and services offered through the Augusta Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, said Miss Augusta Scholarship Pageant Board proposes to offer said 2005
Christmas fantasy parade and the Augusta Commission desires to purchase said services in a not
to exceed amount of $2,554.00; and
WHEREAS, the Miss Augusta Scholarship Pageant Board proposes to incorporate as a
Georgia not for profit corporation; and
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the providing of said 2005 Christmas fantasy
parade in a manner satisfactory to the administrator of Augusta, Georgia or his designee, the
Augusta Commission shall pay to the Miss Augusta Scholarship Pageant Board; or its successor
in interest which may be incorporated as a Georgia not for profit corporation, the sum of
$2,554.00 in payments or by lump sum during the period June 1,2005 through December 31,
2005 and further provided said money shall only be used for security expenses incurred from the
services of the Richmond County Sheriff s Department; and
NOW THEREFORE, The Miss Augusta Scholarship Pageant Board, and Augusta,
Georgia have caused these presents to be executed by and through their duly authorized officials
on the date and year above first written.
