FIRST AMENDMENT TO PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is made and entered
into effective the ~ day of ~~us,- r 1998, by and between
AUGUSTA, GEORGIA, a political subdivision of the State of Georgia
and AUGUSTA/RICHMOND CLEAN & BEAUTIFUL,
INC., a non-profit
community services organization.
WHEREAS, Augusta and Augusta/Richmond Clean & Beautiful, Inc.
entered into that certain professional services contract effective
January I, 1998; and
WHEREAS, said contract provides that the City will pay certain
monies to the Director for Augusta/Richmond Clean & Beautiful,
Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend said contract as provided
herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, said contract is amended as follows:
1. Section 3 of the contract is hereby deleted in its
entirety and the following substituted therefor:
3. Augusta/Richmond Clean & Beautiful shall hire
a Director to direct and oversee all serVlces and
programs to be provided pursuant to this Agreement. The
City shall pay to the Director all salary and automobile
allowance to the Director under the terms of the
Director's employment by Augusta/Richmond Clean &
Beautiful and, if elected by the Director and to be
effective with the City's Je.{J1- -oJ.

enrollment period, shall provide said Director with such

health insurance benefits as are provided to Augusta-
Richmond County employees.
All amounts paid by the City
to or on behalf of the Director under the terms of
employment by Augusta/Richmond Clean & Beautiful and
pursuant to this Agreement, whether through direct
payment, indemnification, employerrs contribution to
FICA, or otherwise, shall be deducted from the amount of
$35,000.00 referenced in Section 2 hereofr prior to such
funds being transferred to Augusta/Richmond Clean &
Beautiful.
2. All remaining terms and conditions of said Agreement
remain in full force and effect.
WHEREFORE, the parties hereto have set their hands and seals
as of the day first above written.
