AUGUSTA RICHMOND COUNTY RECREATION DEPARTMENT
APPLE VALLEY PARK PHASE II
YEAR 2004 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
This First Amendment to the Contract executed by and between the Parties on
January 1, 2004 is made and entered into on the 18th day of September 2007, by and
between AUGUSTA, GEORGIA, (hereinafter referred to as "GRANTEE"), and
AUGUSTA RICHMOND COUNTY RECREATION DEPARTMENT (APPLE
VALLEY PARK PHASE II) (hereinafter referred to as the "SUB-RECIPIENT").
WHEREAS, GRANTEE desires to amend the ORIGINAL CONTRACT to allow
the SUB-RECIPIENT to construct a public facility in the Apple Valley subdivision;
WHEREAS, SUB-RECIPIENT has determined that this amendment is in its
best interest and has agreed to the said amendment;
NOW THERFORE, in exchange for their mutual good and valuable
consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which each PARTY acknowledges, and
intending to be legally bound, GRANTEE and SUB-RECIPIENT agree to amend said
CONTRACT as follows:

I. Paragraph (7) in the Original Contract shall be stricken in its entirety and
shall be replaced with the following language:
7. COMPENSATION
"The Sub-recipient shall be paid a total consideration of $171,000.00 for
the full performance of the services specified under this Contract. Any cost
above this amount shall be the sole responsibility of the Sub-recipient. The
Grantee shall be responsible for paying the contractor for work performed
under this agreement for the Sub-recipient."

II. Appendix (C) shall be stricken in its entirety and shall be replaced with the
following language:

"On January 1, 2004 Commission approved a CDBG in the amount of $75,000.00. On
September 18, 2007 Commission approved an additional CDBG In the amount of
$96,000.00. Total amount funded $171,000.00. See funding source in chart below.
Total construction cost and grant amounts awarded: $171,000.00"

III. Except for the modifications made by this First Amendment, the terms
and conditions of the ORIGINAL CONTRACT, as pre'1ously amended, shall remaIn In
