Project No. 3-13-0011-25 and 26 ,Perimeter Fencing Improvements Project The purpose of this change order is to add the pay items and unit prices as described below and to adjust all quantities to reflect the as-built final quantities as paid in the final pay request and as shown on the attached Summary of Final Quantities. This change order also adjusts the contract time for weather related delays (rain and dry out days), and additional time for change order work. Item No. 22 In lieu of providing two new 24' Single Leaf Cantilevered Gates the existing gates were modified in the field at a savings of $5,167.35 to the project. This eliminated the need to clear and grub a section of fence line that was to run along Doug Barnard Parkway. Project No. 3-13-0011-25&26 Dear Mr. Smith: Please provide us a cost credit for the following items: Also, your last pay application requested five (5) wildlife ditch treatments at $2,000 for a total of $10,000. The pay item in the contract is a lump sum pay item of $2,000.00 for the two large ditch treatments that are shown on the drawings, a total of 155 linear feet which equates to $12.90 per linear foot. Three additional ditch treatments totaling 84 linear feet were added in the field at the request of the Owner which based on $12.90 per linear foot is $1,084. In the fmal change order we will include a pay item for this additional work for the lump sum price of $1,084. The elimination of the two 24' gate. We reworked the two gates to make them adaptable to the higher fence installation. We removed both gates, welded the extensions on them and then reworked with new material. The revised total for the two gates should be $4,966.65. 2.The area for the sleeved fence. In fairness, I feel this should be a wash. The Owner was concerned that all of the underground was not locatable, that the damage to the area would be disruptive. On SFC part, we had to purchase much larger fence material to adapt to the existing material. We held off on this area for a long time waiting for the final decision from the Owner and then waiting for the extra material causing out of sequence work. 3.Elimination of the clearing and grubbing. The area is approximately .30 of an acre. Clearing and grubbing is approximatly $3000/ acre which equates to a $900 Credit due the Owner. 4.The elimination of the wildife intrusion barrier in the mow strip should be a wash also. This area around the buildings was not shown on the plans and was added. Do not believe that mow stip was ever shown in the paved areas. The area which was poured is completely chopped up with short runs causing a much longer time and cost for the installation. 5. In regards to the wildlife ditch treatments I am in agreement with the change order relfecting an additional $1,084.00 If you have any questions or concerns please contact me.
