RE: SKINNER MILL ROAD
Dear Mr. Murphy
As incentive for Contractor ~o substantially complete the work ("Work") required under the
Contract Documents ("Contract") early, which shall be in Owner's best interest, Owner and
Contractor agree that Owner shall pay.to Contractor, as a bonus, the sum of One Thousand
($1,000.00) Dollars per day for each calendar day in which Co~tractor shall substantially
complete the Work under the Contract soom~r than tile time of completion specified in the
Contract, as may be modified by Owner and Contractor in accordance with the Contract.
Provided, however, nothing herein shall obligate ContraCtor to c;omplete the Work sooner than
the time specified in the Contract as may be modified by Owner and Contractor. Provided,
however, further, under no circumstances will the total early completion incentive bonus payment
to which Contractor may be entitled exceed Seventy-Seven Thousand ($77,000.00) Dollars. For
the purposes of this agreement "substantially complete" is defined as such time and conditions
that all major items are basically complete and the entire project can be safely opened to traffic,
including all traffic signals, pavement markings and striping.

There will be no time extension for the work added or ~ltered as a result of Change Order No. I.
Any additional work, materials, equipment, labor, supervision, etc. caused by the alignment shift
at the Wheeler Road/Marks Church Road intersection covered under Change Order No. 1 shall be
included in the lump sum price of One Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand ($155,000.00) Dollars as
shown on the attached sheet.
