EXPLANATION:
In order to stay within the amount of money budgeted for this project the estimated quantity of 92,000 SY of
milling was reduced to 75,000 SY. The contractor has progressed to the point that it is now evident that the
deleted 17,000 SY will be needed to complete this project. The low bid was under the engineer's cost estimate so
there is adequate funding in construction money for this project.
ADD: 17,000 SY Milling at $1.98/SY = $33,660.00

We the undersigned Members of the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission hereby approve change order number one in the amount of
$33,660 with Beam's Construction Company for the Resurfacing
Various Roads Phase VIII project (CPB # 324-04-203824045) to be
funded from the project construction account. Also approved is
utilization of up to $5000 for CSRA Testing to perform tests to
identify the cause of the pavement failure which has occurred on
Dewey Grey Circle which is included in this contract.
