Re: Rae's Creek Channel Improvements, Sanitary Sewer Change Order
Attached is a quote from Johnny Mabus regarding the upgrade of the pipe material from
PVC to Ductile Iron due to the lack of cover. We agree with the new unit prices, as well
as the substitution of Ductile Iron for PVe. Following is a summary of the change order:

San. Sewer, 30" PVC 840 ft. $76.78 $64,495.20
San. Sewer, 30" D.1. CI.150 1 30 ft. $89.18 $11,593.40
San. Sewer, 48" PVC 250 ft. $138.50 $34,625.00
San. Sewer, 48" D.1. CI.150 1 50 ft. $148.27 $22,240.50
Total $132,954.10
As changed:
San. Sewer, 30" D.I., CI.300 970 ft. $98.58 $95,622.60
San. Sewer, 48" D.I., 0.250 400 ft. $164.42 $65,768.00
Total $161,390.60
This change order will result in an increase in contract price of $28,436.50. Funds to
cover this increase should be available in the SPLOST Phase III, specifically under the
category of Utility Relocation.
Johnny has indicated in his proposal that there may be a delay in the delivery of the pipe
and that he may need to negotiate extra contract time because of this change.
