RE: Augusta Regional Airport Augusta, GA Impact-fascia @X line Gentlemen: Parsons Brinckerhoffwas notified by McKnight Construction Co. on 9-27-05 with IR no. 68 about the dimension conflicts for the joist extensions at the X-line. An incomplete and incorrect response was issued on 10-14-05. The steel erector pulled off the job on 10-21-05 while waiting for the correct response. During this time, McKnight had been installing the wood blocking, and the roofer was working. This work also stopped on this and while waiting on the response. Finally, on 10-31-05, the AlE issued a sketch showing the corrections to the joist extension. J & B ConstructiQn made a sample area of corrections for the AlE review. This sample was approve on 10-31-05. On November 2, 2005, this corrective work was completed. :- The following is the time impact and cost involved for these repairs J & B Construction $8208.00 McKnight 7.5% OP 615.60 Total $8823.60 This conflict impacted the job (19) days. Item K - Subgrade Restoration Time Impact Subgrade prepcfration activities in the building "C" area required overexcavation and replacement of an average of l' of soil.
