Gentlemen:
Per the attached letter, Smith Brothers is having to provide a second type of diffuser to fit properly
into the thinline grid. As noted, this new diffuser will cost additional money and has to be ordered,.
Granted, McKnight has a responsibility to build the project per the plans and specs; but the engineers
and architect must specifY the products to be used in a timely manner. Hopefully, this order and the
(21) day delivery will not create an impact on the completion. ~;:-

Re: Augusta Regional AiTJXlrt
Gentlemen:
The specitied diffusers for the above referenced project are a Price frame style # 31 for tbinline grid.
Although all of the grid is thin line, there are two different types of this grid on the job. Most ofthe diffusers
will be installed in the "Fineline" grid which will result in the face oftbe diffuser being above the ceiling
line.
I have spoken to the-Engineer and he told me that the diffusers should be flush with the ceiling which
would require a frame style #17. This frame has an offset flange which allows the face of the grille to be
flusb with the ceiling. However, this grille is not in stock and must be manufactured. 11 is also more
expensive: with an additional cost of$382.63.Please issue a change order in this amount and reflecting the
21 additional calendar days needed fOf this.
lfyou bave any questions, please call me.
Sincerely.

Re: Augusta Regional Airport
Lavatory Faucet
Sirs, .
The IR119 response did not necessarily answer my question. Those are indeed options that are available
on my submittal sheets but they are not mandatory.
At present time I have at least two other projects ongoing that have cold water only to the lavatory.
It would be my recommendation that the temperature mixing valve be supplied (p6900-MV) as this
would be both adjustable and provide a consistent water temperature.
The mixing tee (P6900-MT) has no temperature mixing control and will provide the most water of
which ever line (hot or cold) has the greatest flow.
My cost: $44.85
Tax 3.14
UPS 4.00_
$51.99 ea.
15% O&P n_7,.J~Q
Total $60.00 ea.
If they will issue a change order, I will provide these for $60.00 each with no additional labor charges.
Perhaps they will do this for this building and explore other avenues for the remaining buildings.
Twelve are required for the Holding Bldg. and a prompt response is required.
Please call with any questions,
Jimmy Pardue

Re: Augusta Regional Airport
. Additional Trench Drain Installation
Dear Mr. Patrick,
As you are aware the-trench drains in the ramps at Ground Loading of the Holding Bldg.
were not shown on the plumbing drawings. Per your instructions we ordered the
additional trench and below is our cost incurred for the installation of these 8 (eight)
trench drains.
The area in which this piping was required had previously been roughed~in , tested and
backfilled and tamped. In order to provide pipe for these additional drains, we had to
ex.cavate and remove previously installed pipe and insert the additional fittings.
