See 'R-1oo for ceiling helg'ht Information. . As for the finishes for A127, jt Would be our intent for tl'le permanent finishes to be installed after the space Is no longer being used as t~ temporary screening area. However, the ceiling will be permanent and the carpet ~ be permanent. As for the walls, IR-93 stated the use ofwall covering (VWC8). On further revlewhowever, it would be better to use paint on the walls. The paint ~uld be replaced wlth wall covering and the rubber base with wood as indicated iri'l1he finish schedule A7.00- A7.02 in phase 4. ! Also. locating the temporarY walts to align with the insi~e of the column would help to alleviate some of the finish Issues. POWER POLES ARE ACCEPTABLE FOR' TEMPORARY INSTALLATIONS," This note does not address lighting, only power for the security/screening equipment We will forward a drawing indicating specific electrical items required based on the faxed Electrical Placement guidelines. Lighting will be designed to matgh surrounding areas. (Matt, this sketch has not been received as of today), IR 96- (Mr. Patrich had requested additional information. but has given this answer as of 1/3/05 which may have preceded and may have subsequently answered during his site visit.) I briefly discussed IR 96 with bob Anderson followwing the conference call at LPA last week. 'It was determined that the electrical data being requested needed to come from the .bridge manufacuter, We requested the information during design but it was not available. I have reviewed the information provided by Bob Anderson addressing IR 96 and it is acceptable to Sims Group. The Contractor should verify the electrical requirements of the bridges with the actual equipment being installed as noted on Sheet E7.1. This information also was not. available tous duirngdesign so the burden of the verfication was placed on the Contractor- the electrical data shown is based on the existing bridges. . IR 98- The response issued by Bob Anderson is acceptable to Sims Group. I R 104- We feel this should be addressed at a meeting of the design team. The conduit and cable tray routing issues between Building E and Building A require input from many trades. We are planning on discussing this at the job site meeting on January 3, 2006, (Was this discussed and resol~ed?) Subject: AGS Glass Type 10 This is to recap our discussion yesterday regarding the alternate supplier for Glass type 1 0 for the interior butt glazed panels. The 3/8" "Rain Glass" from Architectural Glass Art should be acceptable, and the sample has been approved by the Airport staff. The supplier needs to confirm that the 3/8" glass (in lieu of Y:z" originally specified) is acceptable from a load standpoint for interior use in the panel sizes shown on A6.3. Since it appears there will be a credit, there is no need to use Y:z" clear tempered glass in locations other than those already scheduled for that type in the documents. Let me know if you need any further assistance. - Pat Patrick From: To: Cc: Sent: Attach: Subject: "Anderson, Bob" <BANDERSON@lpagroup.com> <mccoym@pbworld.com>; <AGSAIRPORT@aol.com> "Leath, Mike" <MLeath@lpagroup.com>; "Logan, Angela R." <ARLogan@lpagroup,com>; <tweegar@augustaga,gov> Monday, June 05, 2006 8:28 AM AGS Glass Type 10 approval 0421 06.rtf Type 10 Glass- Letter of 053006 I have reviewed the letter of 5/30/06 from McKnight / T L Services regarding the patterned glass, Unfortunately, it raises more questions than it answers. As per the attached, we had an alternate product approved by the Owner as manufactured by Architectural Glass Art. The data included from TL Services is for AFG Industries and includes data for two different products ("Heavy Rain" and "Rain"), It also indicates that these products are. annealed as opposed to tempered as specified. Please clarify what the intended product is. If it's different from what was previously approved by the Owner, please submit a sample, I am not opposed to a similar product by a different manufacturer, but the information submitted is not sufficient for approval. <<AGS Glass Type 10 approval 042106.rtf>> Confidentiality Notice This message is intended exclusively for the individual or entity to which it is addressed, This communication may csmtain information that is proprietary, privileged, confidential or otherwise legally exempt from disclosure. After review and consideration, the Bwner has decided to delete the fixture and, as such will request a credit for the fixture and the associated installation labor costs. Please note that the clip from the attached fixture schedule indicates the $2,400.00 allowance for the fixture and lamps and directs the Contractor to include labor, overhead and profit in their bid. This position is further bolstered by the Contract Documents General Conditions Paragraph 3.8 Allowances, sub paragraph 3.8.2.3, which states the following (copy attached ): .,r,r) /j. i>/~-./':"1- Contractor's costs for unloading and handling at the site, labor, installation costs, overhead, profit and other expenses contemplated for stated allowance amounts shall be included in the Contract Sum and not in the allowances; Utilizing the quantities provided for the installation of the Type N fixture in the quote from CI Electric, PB has arrived at an installation credit of $1,737.48 (breakdown attached with CI breakdown).
