Adjacent to Fairington Sewer Extension
Dear Mr. Hicks:
Southern Partners, Inc. is pleased to submit this proposal to provide professional services
for the design of approximately 4,300 linear feet of sanitary sewer, 46 services and necessary
appurtenances to serve properties in the Town and Country area near Fairington Subdivision.
The coverage area for this project is based on your preliminary layout, which may need
adjustment based on field conditions. More particularly:
- Connector line from Elaine Court to one or two areas in the proposed project;
- Lincolnton Parkway from 150 feet west of Windsor Spring Road to 120 feet west of
Sylvania Court;
- Lincolnton Parkway from Allendale Court to 100 feet west of Allendale court;
- Allendale Court, N. from Lincolnton Parkway to the dead end;
- Allendale Court, S. from Lincolnton Parkway to the dead end;
- Overland from Allendale Court, S. to Elaine Court;
- Sylvania Court, N. from Lincolnton Parkway to the dead end;
- Sylvania Court, S. from Lincolnton Parkway to the dead end;
- Overland from Sylvania Court, S. to Elaine Court;
- Overland from Sylvania Court, S. to rear of property on Windsor Spring Road;
- Overland from Lincolnton Parkway, north along rear property lines of three houses on
Windsor Spring Road.
Our fee for these services is Thirty Four Thousand Nme Hundred Sixty Five Dollars and
No Cents ($34,965.00).
We propose to furnish the fullowing services: I
1. Conduct field surveys of the proposed sanitary sewer route to determine property
boundaries, line and grade, utilities and other physical encroachments.

2. Prepare conceptual plans (30% submittal) for detennining routing, sizing and
design considerations unique to this project.
3. Prepare preliminary plans (60% submittal) for the installations of these lines.
Preliminary plans will be reviewed with Augusta Utilities Department and the
Program Manager before work is started on the final plans. Actual plan
percentage will be 85% and will include draft easements.
4. Prepare final construction plans (90% submittal) and bid documents, including a
construction cost estimate.
5. Discuss bid results with the program manager to determine any items that may
cause the selection of a contractor other than the low bidder.
6. Prepare easement plats as needed for lines that cross private property.
7. Monitor the general progress (surveillance) of the project and review all job
submittals.
Our costs include 30 review copies of the drawings and 6 review copies of the
specifications. It also includes 12 copies of the full bid documents. We have added research for
all properties affected by this project, including names, addresses and tax parcel numbers.
Augusta Utilities Department will provide all available maps and plans for sanitary sewer
and water lines in and adjacent to the project area, all GIS information (digital and paper) and all
other pertinent information available in the public records.
This project can be rea~y for concept review within 90 days of receipt of your purchase
order and-authorization to proceed. Payment for services will be based on percentages
compl~t.ed. IJivoices will be submitted in accordance with a mutually agreed upon schedule to
allow time for review by the Program Manager.
