Re: Messerly Digester Rehabilitation/Final Change Order
Dear Mr. Saxon:

'Work on the referenced project has recently been completed. Attached is a
summary sheet outlining the' changes to the project. Change Order No. 1
included $895,000 for additional digester cleaning. The actual cost for cleaning
, exceeded this amount by $196,386.52. Additionally, changes were required to
accommodate the solids handling improvements being constructed by OMI.
,These changes total $72,215.00. Other changes necessary during the course of
the project total $75,861.00.
As you are aware, the rehabilitation of Digester #5 has been postponed to a later
date due to funding constraints. The equipment necessary to rehab Digester #5
has been delivered and stored. We have negotiated a reduction in the original
contract amount of $29,885.00 for work not performed.
We recommend that the attached final Change Order in the amount of
$314,577.52 be approved andthat this contract be closed.
