REHABILITATE AIRFIELD SIGNAGE

1. Description
1.1 In accordance with Section 90-05, Payment for Extra and Force Account Work, of the contract
specifications, the following shall constitute as Change Order #1, and shall provide for all costs
associated with the work described below.
1.2 This change constitutes "Extra Work" as described in Section 90-05. This change shall establish
a basis of payment for the extra work items listed. This change is within the general scope of
work covered by the original contract.
2. Scope of Work
2.1 The change to the contract provides the following:
2.1.a Add two (2) Guidance Signs:
1. New L-858, Hold Bar (17-35) Guidance Sign, 2 Modules, Transformer with New Base
Pad, Size 1, Style 3, with Conduit, Complete in Place.
2. New L-858, Hold Bar (8-26) Guidance Sign, 2 Modules, Transformer with New Base
Pad, Size 1, Style 2, with Conduit, Complete in Place
Pursuant to the March 2009 FAA Certification Inspection, it was determined two (2)
additional guidance signs would be required at the intersection of Runways 17-35 and 8-
26. Approximately 4 to 5 years ago, these signs had previously been located at the
runway intersections. However, they were later determined not to be required, thus they
were removed.
2.1.b Remove two (2) additional concrete pads from the two (2) signs mentioned in 2.1.a.
The original concrete pads for the two (2) signs removed 4-5 years ago were never
removed and do not have the correct transformer can configuration, thus they need to be
removed.
3. Method of Measurement and Basis of Payment
3.1 The items associated with this Change Order will be paid for at the contract unit price per each
unit. The price shall be full compensation for furnishing all materials, and for all installation of
these materials, and for all labor equipment, tools, and incidentals necessary to complete the
item.
4. Contract Time
4.1 It is anticipated that the procurement and delivery of the two (2) additional signs will take
approximately eight (8) weeks (56 days) once the contractor orders the signs. Installation shall
take five (5) days once signs have been delivered to the site.'
