CHANGE ORDER NO.6
The original award included Alternates that provided for larger trees and granite in lieu of
concrete dividers. After a financial assessment of funding, a decision was made to revert back to
the base bid and delete the trees/dividers alternate. This situation was addressed as Change Order
No. I which was never processed. In the meantime the contractor (Advanced Outdoor Services)
proceeded on the basis that Change Order No. I was being processed. Later a decision was made
to go back to the awarded contract that included the larger trees and granite dividers but the
contractor had already ordered the trees and delivery of the granite could not be arranged without
a considerable delay of the project completion.
We have voided Change Order No. I and documented the circumstances. A copy of the voided
Change Order No. I is attached.
