CHANGE NUMBER TWO
BE IT ORDAINED by the Commission-Council of Augusta-Richmond,
County Georgia that the following Capital Project Budget is hereby
amended:
section 1.
The project change authorized is to CPB#51-6235-208
.adopted April 3, 1990. This change is for the
additional engineering required to update ~nd
revise the plans to meet current conditions. The
$12,500 additional funds will come from those set
aside for this project in Special One Percent Sales
'Tax, Phase III.
section 2.
The project director is hereby authorized to
proceed with the project within the terms of the
funds appropriated herein.
Section 3.
'rhe following revenues are anticipated to be
available to the Commission-Council to complete the
project:

RE: Claussen / Stevens Creek Road
Dear Mr. Murphy:
Southern Partners, Inc. is pleased to provide this proposal for the modification of the scope of
the Claussen Road and Stevens Creek Road project. Our fee for providing the following work
will be Twelve Thousaild Five Hundred Dollars ($12,500.00).
We propose to do the following:
1. Delete, approximately 2200 Et. _along Claussen Road from the proje<;t pl~ns: This will
'effectively caus(~ all of the project to be along Stevens Creek Road except for the Claussen
Road approach to Stevens Creek Road.
2, Evaluate R/W and easements and revise as needed to minimize the total take but contain
the construction.
3. Update all R/W.and easement plats including updated surveys.
4. Revise the detai:led estimate of quantities to reflect the scaled down project.

We can complete this work within 30 days of receipt of a purchase order and your notice to
proceed.

STEVENS CREEK ROAD/ CLAUSSEN ROAD PROJECt
At your re'quest, I have reviewed the referenced project. I have determined that the segment of
'Stevens Creek Road be~een Washirigton Road and Claussen Road (segment '1) is in need of the
plarmed improvements more so than the portion of Claussen Road between Stevens Creek Road
and Riverwatch Parkway (segment2). Segment 1 volumes are more than twice that of segment
2. Segment 1 currently operates with a Levelof Service of E ~hereas segment 2 operates with a
. .level of service of C. A Level of Service E indicates a congested roadway with significant
',motorist delay.'
