BE IT ORDAINED by the Commission-Council of Augusta-Richmond County,
Georgia that the following Capital Project Budget is hereby amended:
Section 1: The project authorized is for engineering addendum to the
proposal for Extension of Skinner Mill Road Box Culvert for
Improvements to Raes Creek in the vicinity of Chelsea Drive. The
concept is to provide you with a design and produce contract
drawings for construction of the creek re-routing. The
estimated engineering cost of this project is $3,000.00 and will be
fuilded by the Special One Percent Sales Tax, Phase II Recapture.
Section 2: The following revenues are anticipated to' be available to the
Consolidated Government to complete the project:
Special 1 % Sales Tax, Phase II Recapture

Eng~_neering Addendum to the Proposal for Extension of Skinner
Mill Road Box'-cuivert' for Improvements to'Rae's Creek. in the
Vicinity of Chelsea Drive.

Dear Mr. Murphy:
Thank you for the opportunity to provide you with a an addendum to our
original proposal to engineer a re-routing of Rae's Creek in the vicinity of
Chelsea Drive to provide a smoother turn of the creek bed. Based upon our
previous meeting and our understanding of the project, we would
respectfully submit the following p~oposal:
Scope: We would propose the following sequence of work and
associated costs:
1. Obtain an as-built and topographic survey of the area of the proposed
creek re-routing. This will include the necessary information in order to
design the rerouting as well as determine the extent of cut and filling
required to stabilize the channel and provide an inproved channel
section through this area. Elevations will be based upon mean sea level.
for this we would propose to us_Bennie C. Harbin, RLS. Upon notice to
proceed, we should have the surveying accomplished within 2 weeks.
2. Design and produce plans ready for construction to include a detailed
estimate in accordance with GA DOT standards. Preliminary plans
should be complete within 2 weeks upon receipt of the surveying data.
After your review, we should be able to complete the plans within a week
after your review, barring major changes.
3. We would propose that the surveying services be on a lump sum amount
of$I,OOO.OO.

4. We would propose that our engineering fee to accomplish the work as
detailed, be a lump sum fee of $2,000.00. This will include all work
necessary to design and produce contract drawings for construction of
the creek re-routing.
5. As a summary the following is a list of the work and proposed costs:
