NORTH LEG BRIDGE WIDENING OVER CSX RAILROAD
BE IT ORDAINED by the Commission-Council of Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia that the
following capital project budget is hereby adopted:

Section 1. The project authorized is for the utility relocation costs to be incurred when the Georgia
Department of Transportation widens the bridge over the CSX Railroad along North Leg. These
costs are estimated with a 10% contingency to be $22,000 and are to be funded by Special 1% Sales
Tax, Phase II as this is a priority project.
Section 2, The following revenues are anticipated to be available to the Commission-Council to
complete the project:

Section 3. The following amount are to be expended for the project:

LOCAL GOVERNMENT PROJECT AGREEMENT
In consideration of the proposed improvements, the County of RICHMOND
agrees to provide or perform the following at no cost to the Georgia D.O.T.
for project BHMLB-7006(7), PI # 250570, RICHMOND County:
RECST/REHAB / BRIDGES
NORTH LEG ROAD OVER CSX RP.ILROAD
[X] Provide all rights-of-way and/or easements needed for the construction
of the project and remove existing structures or obstructions within the
rights-of-way.
[Xl Make all utility relocations, adjustments or betterments of publicly
owned utilities that are in conflict with construction of this project.
Reimburse Georgia D.O.T. for any damages paid to the contractor for delay of
construction caused by a delay in relocating the publicly owned utilities.
[X] Relocate or adjust all privately owned utilities to clear construction
of this project, including adjustments at railroad crossings if required.
[X] Furnish detours, local borrow & waste pits as needed.
[] We support this project but choose not to commit any funding, realizing
this may delay the project until additional funding can be found.

Attached is a capital Project Budget in the amount of $22,000 and
a Local Government Project Agreement from the Georgia Department
of Transportation for the above referenced project. These funds
are set aside in special One Percent Sales Tax, Phase II as this
is a Priority Project.
In order for the Georgia Department of Transportation to proceed
with this project it is incumbent upon Augusta-Richmond County to
execute the Local Government proj ect Agreement. This commits our
funds to purchase necessary rights of way and relocation of
utilities.
Approval of the Capital Project Budget and execution of the Local
Government Project Agreement are recommended. Please send the
original signed Local Government Project Agreement to this office
for additional processing.
