BE IT ORDAINED by the Commission-Council of Augusta-Richmond County,
Georgia that the following Capital Project Budget is hereby adopted:
Section 1: The project authorized is.' for CPB# 324-04-201824055. The
funding for this project was set up for Engineering, Construction
and Contingency. After the initial design phase, funding in the
amount of $ 9,500 was required for Right Of Way acquisition.
Additional funding of $ 8,640 was also required for Engineering
work. Funding is also required in the amount of $35,000 for
Utilities contract. This project is funded by SPLOST Ph IV.
Section 2: The following revenues '~lre available to the Consolidated
Government to complete the project:
Special 1 % Sales Tax, Phase IV

Due to the increasing number of county and state road projects, Jefferson Energy Cooperative can no
longer afford to relocate existing facilities to the newly acquired county right-of-way without being
compensated for the expense. Jefferson Energy's existing facilities are constructed On acquired right-of
way and eascments. To relocate these facilities is a financial burden to our consumer base without any
chance of return on investm,ent. Listed below arc hvo revised proposals for the county. These proposals
arc estimates only; the county will be billed for the actual cost oftbe line relocati~n.
· Jefferson Energy agrees to relocate existing distribution facilities in conflict with proposed
projects at an estimated cost of $34,285.00 per mile for single-phase construction. All costs
include construction material, construction labor, labor fot retirement of existing facilities,
acquisition and clearing ofright-of-way, alJd engineering.
· Jefferson Energy a~ees to relocate existing distribution facilities in conflict with proposed project
at an estimated cost of $ 27,387.00 pel; mile for single"phase construction, if the County y.rill
acquire and cl.ear an additlonal15 feet ofrigbt-of-way for Jefferson Energy's new facilities.
