BE IT ORDAJNED by the Commission-Council of Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia that
the following capital project budget is hereby adopted:
Section ]. The project authorized is for the complete reconstruction and upgrading of McCombs
Road from Broom's Road to S.R. 56, a distance of 1,35 miles. The preliminary engineering
costs are $28,000 and are to be funded by Special 1 % Sales Tax, Phase III as this project is on
the approved list.
Section 2. The following revenues are anticipated to be available to the Commission-Council to
complete the project:

Dear Mr. Murphy,.
We are pleased to submit the following proposal for providing engineering services for
the development of the above referenced project.
A. SCOPE:
The project consists of approximately 1,35 miles of improved (surface treatment)
roadway. The roadway needs to have tne excessively high raised edges removed, the
existing riding area resurfaced or !emoved and replaced and widened where needed, and
ditches established. There are four major. storm water drainage basins crossing the

. roadway thatwill need culvertsapprop,riately sized.
B. SERVICE: .

1. Perform surveys needed t6 establish the existing right-of-way of McComb . .
Road. -
2. Establish a new eighty (80)-foot right~of~way and prepare individual plats
(approximately fifty) for each property owner showing land to be acquired.
3. Prepare complete Construction Drawings which shall include the following:

C. FEE:
A maximum fee of twenty eightthousand dollars ($28,000.00) is proposed. This is
based on an engineering and design fee 9.ftw~I1ty four thousand ($24,000.00) and a

D. TIME OF COMPLETION:
A time of completion of 150 calendar days is_ anticipated after your Notice to Proceed.
A construction cost of four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000.00) is estimated for
this project. .
