CAPITAL PROJECT BUDGET
S. R. 56 @ GOSHEN ROAD INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS
BE IT ORDAINED by the Commission-Council of Augusta-Richmond County,
Georgia that the following Capital Project Budget is hereby authorized:
Section 1: The project is authorized for CPB#323-04-201823161. This project
proposes to widen S.R. 56 to include left turn lanes and decel1anes in
both directions thus improving safety at the intersection. This
authorization is for Right of Way, Utilities and Contingency associated
with the said project, in the total amount of $88,000 to be funded by
the Special 1% Sales Tax, Phase III ($22,000) and the Special 1% Sales
Tax, Phase III Recapture Funds ($66,000).
Section 2: The following revenues are anticipated to be available to the
Consolidated Government to complete the project:

LOCAL GOVERNMENT PROJECT AGREEMENT
In consideration of the proposed improvements, RICHMOND County agrees to provide or perform the
following at no cost to the Georgia D. O. T. for project STP-0001-00(419) RICHMOND CO., PI #
0001419:
INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT
SR 56AT NEW GOSHEN ROAD/CR 4/GOSHEN INDUSTRIAl/CR 1007
I x J Provide all rights-ol-way and/or easements neededfor the construction of the project and
remove existing structures or obstructions within the rights-ol-way.
I x J Make all utility relocations, adjustments or betterments of publicly owned utilities that are
in conflict with construction of this project Reimburse Georgia D. O. T. for any damages paid
to the contractor for delay of construction caused by a delay in relocating the publicly owned
. utilities.
I x J Relocate or adjust all privately owned utilities to clear construction of this project,
including adjustments oJ railroad crossings if required
I J Furnish detours, local bo"ow & waste pits as needed
{ J We support this project but choose not to commit any funding, realizing this may delay the
project until additional funding can be found
