Enclosed is the fully executed copy of the amendment to your 199,8 Enforcement and
Education Grant. This amendment reallocates your grant budget to better fit the program
strategy. Please attach this amendment to the original Agreement.
The Scrap Tire Management Unit staff will be available for technical assistance, Please call

AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT '
Contract Number 738-990016
THIS AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT, entered into this .ith... day of October ,1999, by and
between the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, EnvironmentalProtection Division (hereinafter,
"EPD") and the Augusta-Richmond County Board of Commissioners (hereinafter, "GRANTEE").

WHEREAS, the parties hereto entered into an Agreement on or about July 21, 1998, (a copy of which is
attached hereto, incorporated herein and made a part hereof) to provide for scrap tire and solid waste
enforcement and education programs in Augusta-Richmond County; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement was amended on June 21,1999 (a copy of which is attached hereto,
incorporated herein and made a part hereof) to extend the time period, and
WHEREAS, GRANTEE would like to reallocate the education budget to more accurately reflect the
amounts spent within each category, and
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the mutual promises and other good and valuable
consideration set forth herein (the receipt and sufficiency of which is expressly acknowledged by each
party hereto) it is mutually agreed that the attached Contract shall be modified in the following manner:
1. Replace the "Scrap Tire Education Grant Proposal Budget" with the attached
"Augusta-Richmond County Reallocated Education Budget" to incorporate, and
make it a part of Exhibit "A" of the Agreement.
Except as specifically modified hereinabove, the Agreement shall remain unchanged and in full force .
and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have hereunto, acting by and through their duly authorized
officers and agents, set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first written above.
