COOK ROAD & GLENDALE SID IMPROVEMENTS
BE IT ORDAINED by the Commission-Council of Augusta-Richmond County, Georgia that
the following capital project budget is hereby adopted:
Section 1, The project authorized is for the correction and improvement of a storm drainage
system, addition of curb, gutter and sidewalks where needed within the Cook Road and Glendale
Subdivision area, The preliminary engineering costs are $86,000 and are to be funded by
Special 1 % Sales Tax, Phase III as this project is on the approved list.
Section 2. The following revenues are anticipated to be available to the Commission-Council to
complete the project:

Public Works Project: 57-8403-097
Dear Mr. Gooding:
In response to your request and our conversations with Mr.
Jack Murphy, we are pleased to submit our proposal to provide the
required surveying and engineering design for the referenced
project.
Project Scope:
Correct deficiencies in existing storm
sewer and roadway systems. Add curb,
gutter and sidewalks where specified by
public works.
Project Limits:
Wharton Drive, Bryn Mawr Avenue, Cornell
Drive, Princeton Lane, Florida Avenue,
and their intersections with White Road
and Olive Road.
Syracuse Drive, Harvard Road, Vanderbilt
circle and their intersections.
Cook Road and its intersections with
Olive Road, Meredith Drive, Tubman Home
Road and Kennedy Road.
Those properties fronting said roadways.

what can be saved, and
corrections.

with various utility companies to reduce
the number of construction conflicts.
Design shall include necessary easement
and right of way plats.
Our fee to perform the above services related to this project
is Eighty-Six Thousand Dollars ($86,000.00).

If additional work is required beyond the scope of this
proposal, we can accomplish that work either at our hourly rate or
with an amendment to this proposal. Based on preliminary
investigations, it does not appear that there are any regulated
wetlands that will be impacted by this project.
Relying on previous projects of this scope and size which we
have prepared for Public Works, our "Before Design" construction
cost estimate is wihtin the range of 1.5 to 2.0 million dollars.
This estimated construction cost is based on similar type projects
and not a measured amount of quantities to be installed during
construction.
If we feel that this estimate becomes invalid because of
unforeseen deficiencies within the project area, we will contact
Public Works.
