BE IT ORDAINED by the Commission-C9uncil of Augusta-Richmond
County, Georgia that the following Capital Project Budget is hereby
adopted:

The project authorized is for the widening and
reconstruction of Barton Chapel Road to three lanes
including curb, gutter and sidewalk along with a
storm drainage system. The scop~ of this project
includes two sections, just north of Deans Bridge
Road to just south of Glenn Hills Drive and Old
Barton Chapel Road to just south of Mil1edgeville
Road, for a total of 1. 65 miles. All project
expenses in the amount of $2,036,000 will be funded
from Special 1% Sales Tax, Phase II Recaptured
Funds.
The following revenues are anticipated to be
available to the consolidated government to
complete the project:

Re: Barton Chapel Road, Roadway and Drainaqe Improvements,
Phase II
Dear Mr. Murphy:
In response to your request, Southern Partners, Inc. is pleased to
submit a proposal to provide the required surveying and engineering
to prepare construction plans, pre and post design construction
cost estimates, right-of-way acquisition plans for the referenced
project.
This project, which will encompass 1.65 miles of roadway, includes
the following areas:
1. North of the u.S. Hwy. No. 1 (Deans Bridge Road) -
Barton Chapel Road Intersection to 300 feet south
of the Glenn Hills Drive - Barton Chapel Road
intersection.
2. The southern most intersection of Old Barton Chapel
Road and Barton Chapel Road to 200 feet south of
the Milledgeville Road Barton Chapel Road
intersection.

construction cost estimate for this proje'ct -is-$'l, 500,000.
Our Fee for performing the above services for this project is
Seventy Thousand and NO/100 Dollars ($70,000.00). This
project will be ready for review by Public Works within 90
days of your authorization to proceed.
