GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM SURVEY MONUMENT PERMIT
This Global Positioning System Survey Monument Permit is issued by the City of Augusta, Georgia
(Agency) to Southern Natural Gas Company (Southern) authorizing the placement of Global
Positioning System (GPS) Survey Monuments in any road and/or highway rights-of-way subject to
Agency's jurisdiction pursuant to the following terms and conditions:
1. The GPS Survey Monuments shall be buried such that the access cover shall not extend
above the surface of the ground. Each GPS Survey Monument shall be placed as far
from the pavement of the road/highway and as close to the boundary of the right-of-way
as possible.
2. The placement, repair, maintenance, or replacement of any GPS Survey Monument shall
not interfere in any way with the use, maintenance, repair, or improvement of Agency's
roads and highways.
3. Agency shall have the right to use the GPS Survey Monuments to conduct surveys and
upon request Southern shall provide the Agency with the relevant data it possesses for
any GPS Survey Monument.
4. This permit shall remain in full force and effect until cancelled by Agency by giving
Southern ninety (90) days prior written notice at the following address:
