(11) Augusta, GA 30911 Re: Excluding Election Official and Election Worker Positions Who Earn Less than $1000 in a Calendar Year Until 1999 and the Adjusted Remuneration Paid to Reflect Changes in the Economy Thereafter Effective - January 1, 1998 Dear Ms. D'Alession: We have been informed by the Social Security Administration that the Federal-State Agreement has been modified to exclude employees in election official and election worker positions who earn less that $1000,00 in a calendar year until 1999 and the adjusted remuneration paid to reflect changes in the economy thereafter. We are enclosing an approved, signed copy of the Modification to Plan and Agreement. We emphasize if the new $1000.00 is reached, the services of an individual in the position of election official or election worker will not qualify for the election official/worker exclusion and, in the absence of some other basis for non-coverage will be subject to coverage from the first dol!ar paid in that calendar year.
