AGREEMENT
COUNTY OF RICHMOND
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 7th day of JANUARY ,
1997 , by and between PAINE COLLEGE ("Paine") and the Augusta-Richmond County
Commission ("the Commission");
WHEREAS, Paine is in need of transportation for its students and the
Commission is willing to provide such transportation according to the terms and
conditions set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the mutual promises and
covenants contained herein, and other good and valuable consideration, the
receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the parties hereby agree
as follows:
(1) The Augusta Public Transit System will provide transit service
for any Paine student with a valid student idencification card issued by Paine
("Student"), at no direct charge to the Student.
(2) Paine shall pay for said transit service a fee of Three and
NO/100 ($3,00) Dollars per school semester per student enrolled in Fall and
Winter Semester classes and Two and NO/100 ($2,00) Dollars per school quarter per
student enrolled in Summer Semester classes. Payment shall be made to the
Augusta Public Transit office on or before the tenth (10th) working day after the
last day of registration for classes in the first semester of each school year,
(3) Either party may terminate this Agreement by written notice
given no later than ten (10) days before the first day of regular registration
for classes for a new school semester, Paine will provide the Augusta Public
Transit office with its registration schedule at least two (2) semesters in
advance. Notice shall be by personal delivery to:

Augusta, Georgia 30901
and shall be deemed received on the date of delivery,
WHEREFORE, the parties have executed this Agreement as of the date
and year first above written,
