PROJECT NO. STP-076-1(34) Richmond County, P. I. No. 232020
On October 16, 2003, the Department sent a Local Goverrunent Project Agreement to your office for execution. As of this date we have
not received a response.
It is important that we receive a signed agreement in order to keep our construction work program balanced fmancially and fiscally.

The qfJice of Financial Management has added the su/~iect pn~iect to the Department's Construction
Work Program. RICHMOND County is requested to indicate support (~rthis pn~iect hy e..x.ecuting tire
attached Local GOl'ernment Agreement alUi returning it to this office.
Any project not contained in the Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) for your area allfl/or the
Statewide Plan (STIP) will he submitted for addition. This action is required hy FederallaJj! in tire
Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century (TEA-21). TEA-21 also requires t/wUhe cost of tire
projects in the TIP/STIP he balanced with available Federal {unds.
If you choose not to commit to this project it may be delayed until additional funding can be found If
you commitbut/ater are unable to keep this-commitment or if you do not respond, thi.\' project will be
delayed until it Clln be rescheduled in the TJP/STIP. The longer you wait to commit, !he longer the
project will he delaye(L TEA-21 requires long range planning.

the contractor for delay of construction caused by a delay in relocating the publicly owned
