RECREATION AND PARKS DEPARTMENT
YEAR 2006 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
This first Amendment to the Contract executed by and between the Parties on the
20th day of March, 2007, is made and entered into by and between AUGUSTA,
GEORGIA, (hereinafter referred to as "GRANTEE"), and Augusta-Richmond
County Recreation and Parks Department (hereinafter referred to as the "SUB-
RECIPIENT").
WHEREAS, GRANTEE desires to amend the ORIGINAL CONTRACT to allow
the SUB- RECIPIENT to effectively and efficiently administer its Dyess Park
Improvement Program;
WHEREAS, SUB-RECIPIENT has determined that this amendment is in its
best interest and has agreed to the said amendment;
NOW THEREFORE, in exchange for their mutual good and valuable
consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which each PARTY acknowledges, and
intending to be legally bound, GRANTEE and SUB-RECIPIENT agree to amend said
CONTRACT as follows:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION on the Original Contract shall be amended to read as the
following language:
Original:
"The Project willbe identified as "Dyess Park". The purpose of the project
is to make improvements to the facility to include:
. Installation of an elevator
. Resurface tennis court
. Building interior improvements: repair walls, replace
carpet, painting and electrical box upgrade
. Bathhouse renovations
The facility is located at 902 James Brown Boulevard, Augusta, Georgia,
Census Tract 7, Block Group comprising 84.2% low and moderate income
persons."

Amended:

"BUDGET
Note: On November 16, 2004, Commission approved a CDBG in the
amount of $30,000.00. On March 20, 2007 Commission approved a
change in the scope of the project from installation of an elevator in the
facility to improvements to the bathhouse and pool. Total amount
awarded remains the same. See funding sources in chart below."

Except for the modifications made by this First Amendment, the terms and
conditions of the ORIGINAL CONTRACT, as defined, shall remain in full force and
effect.
