CALLED MEETING COMMISSION CHAMBER
November 5, 2019
Augusta Richmond County Commission convened at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 5,
2019, the Honorable Hardie Davis, Jr., Mayor, presiding.
PRESENT: Hons. B. Williams, Garrett, Sias, Fennoy, Frantom, M. Williams, D.
Williams, Hasan and Clarke, members of Augusta Richmond County Commission.
ABSENT: Hon. Davis, member of Augusta Richmond County Commission.
Mr. Mayor: We’ll call this meeting to order. The Chair recognizes Attorney Brown.

Mr. Brown: Mayor and Commission, we request a motion to go into an executive
session to discuss matters pertaining to pending or potential litigation and real estate and
economic development.

Mr. Garrett: Second.
Mr. Mayor: Voting.
Mr. Fennoy and Mr. Frantom out.
Motion carries 7-0.

Mr. Mayor: We’ll call this meeting back to order. The Chair recognizes Attorney
Brown.
2. Motion to authorize execution by the Mayor of the affidavit of compliance with
Georgia’s Open Meeting Act.
Mr. Brown: Mayor, we request a motion to execute the closed meeting affidavit.
Mr. Mayor: Mayor Pro Tem.
Mr. Frantom: So moved.

Mr. Mayor: Voting.
Motion carries 9-0.
Mr. Mayor: The Chair recognizes Attorney Brown.
Mr. Brown: Mayor and Commission, we request a motion to approve the letter of
intent for the property known as 520 Fenwick Street with the State Property Commission.
Mr. Mayor: The Chair recognizes the Mayor Pro Tem.
Mr. Frantom: So moved.
Mr. B. Williams: Second.
Mr. Mayor: Voting.
Motion carries 9-0.
Mr. Mayor: The Chair recognizes Attorney Brown.
Mr. Brown: Augusta Housing and Community Development Department requests a
transfer of properties known as 859 Laney Walker and 851 Laney Walker Blvd. to be
transferred to the Land Bank.
Mr. Mayor: The Chair recognizes the Mayor Pro Tem.
Mr. Frantom: So moved.
Mr. Fennoy: Second.
Mr. Mayor: Voting.
Motion carries 9-0.

Mr. Brown: No, sir.
Mr. Mayor: All right. Special called meeting is adjourned.
