space adjacent to the Augusta Common
1. Statement of Policy: Augusta, Georgia is committed to maximizing efficiency with
respect to the use of the Augusta Common for public and private events but also seeks to
be business friendly with respect the business immediately adjacent to the Augusta
Common. This policy addresses the use of event space with respect to privately owned
buildings directly abutting the Augusta Common.
2. Application: It is the policy of Augusta, Georgia to limit any closure of the space
immediately adjacent to privately owned buildings during events at the Augusta Common.
During such times as the space immediately adjacent to the buildings is closed, Augusta
will arrange for customers of the Businesses to have access to the front entrance of their
building (if it the main entrance opens to the Commons) by allowing access through the
Event or by providing a path of at least eight(8)feet in width from the wall of the building.
3. Persons or entities renting or using the Augusta Common shall not restrict or direct any of
the owners, or operators of the privately owned businesses immediately adjacent to the
Augusta Common.
