substantial degree of minority business enterprise and small business participation. In order to
expedite the evaluation process, we have attached the Checklist for Good Faith Efforts, Proposed
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Participation, and Letter of Intent to Perform forms. The

business participation in the evaluation criteria. Augusta-Richmond County's office of

ANALYSIS:
Approve the Good Faith DBE language for RFPs, Bids, and Contracts to be placed in all
documents let by Augusta-Richmond County. The adoption of the proposed DBE language for
RFPs, bids and contracts is vital to the program. Adopting standard language for RFPs, bids
and contracts, will allow the DBE program to run efficiently and effectively. It will reduce the
amount of time DBE personnel invest in the seeking approval from other departments. It further
provides notice to staff and vendor as to the requirements for participation in the program. The
support of this language provides guidance on reporting requirements to assist the DBE
department to determine whether Augusta-Richmond County is attaining the DBE goals.
