REAL ESTATE MEETING
COMMITTEE ROOM - August 15,2000

PRESENT: Hons. Bob Young, Mayor; Kuhlke, Bridges, Shepard, Cheek, H.
Brigham, Mays, J. Brigham, Williams, members of Augusta Richmond County
Commission.
Also Present: Jim Wall, "Attorney; Randy Oliver, Administrator and Lena Bonner,
Clerk of Commission.
Mr. Wall: The real estate matter deals with Richmond Bonded Warehouse.
Mr. Mayor: Mr. Oliver and I met with Augusta Tomorrow last week and Mr.
Hildebrandt agreed that the best long-term use for that property would be residential.
If we sell it to them, however, it would probably be light industrial.,
Mr. Wall: We do have an obligation to maintains the tracks there and they are not
in good repair. If you could give me some direction as to whether or not you are
interested in selling to them, I can let them know. They have about 20 years left on the
current lease and they want to expand.

It was the consensus of the Commission members that Mr. Wall get further
information regarding the costs of repairs to the railroad tracks. Mr. Wall stated that he
would put together a package containing information on these costs and the appraisal of
the property.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
