District 3. Super District 10. (Referred from November 24 Public Services) I Mr. Richard Elim: We had an ongoing problem with noise at this club and we had a number of complaints from the neighborhood adjacent to the property. Mr. Johnson has since made substantial renovations to the building that have helped with the noise problem. Our reason for coming to the commission with the problem after the repairs had been instituted is that we feel it is necessary because it took us a length of time to get him to comply and we feel he should be put on probation. Mr. Kuhlke: Has the construction work been completed? Mr. Elim: Not quite yet. Mr. Kuhlke: Have the complaints stopped? Mr. Elim: Yes, they have. Mr. Bridges: What were you originally recommending? Mr. Elim: Probation for six to eight months. I After a discussion with Mr. Johnson and his attorney, Mr. Kuhlke: I would like to make a motion that we receive these comments as information and that we ask the Sheriff s Department to come back to this committee the first committee meeting in January and give a report to see ifin fact that surely you'll be through with all your construction then and since you haven't had any complaints recently, to come back and 3 give this committee a report and if you continue to have problems out there, then the committee will have to decide what they want to do. Mr. Chairman: I'll second it. Motion adopted with Mr. Colclough abstaining. 10. New Ownership: A.N.03-57: A request by Kevin J. Last spring you approved positions for Sand Hills and you referred to the budget process the financing of those positions. During the course of budgeting we put monies in for the senior citizens operation and we put it in twice so there is money already in the Recreation Department that we can transfer to Sand Hills and that amount is about $63,000 and we will take it out of there to finance that operation.
