PRESENT: Hons. Mays, Chairman; Bridges, Co-Chairman; Kuhlke, member;
Jim Wall, Attorney; George Kolb, Administrator; Rob Sherman, License & Inspections
Department; Larry Harris, License & Inspections Department; Lena Bonner, Clerk of
Commission.
ABSENT: Hons. Bob Young, Mayor; Colclough, member.
Also Present: Hon. Cheek, Commissioner.
2. New Ownership: A.N.03-43: A request by Chong Sook Chon for a retail
package Beer & Wine license to be used in connection with Gaeryong, Inc.
d/b/a Get It To Go located at 3379 Milledgeville Road. District 5. Super
District 9.
Mr. Chairman: I think we have a deletion on Item 2. The License & Inspection
Department has asked that this be deleted because the party requesting the license is out
of the country and they need to reschedule it.

Mr. Sherman: If we could postpone that until the November 10 meeting. There
were no objectors to it.
Mr. Bridges: I move we postpone number 2.
Mr. Kuhlke: Second.
Motion adopted unanimously.
1. Discussion: A request by Kathy Boone for a Therapeutic Massage license to
be used in connection with Augusta Center 4 Massage Therapy located at 211
Pleasant Home Road, Ste. B-3. District 7. Super District 10.
Ms. Boone: My name is Kathy Boone and my address is 129 Tennille Road, Iva,
S. C.
Mr. Sherman: We have reviewed the application and it meets the requirements
and we recommend that it be approved. There are no objectors.
Mr. Bridges: I so move.
Mr. Kuhlke: Second.

3. New Ownership: A.N.03-44: A request by Paul M. Davis, Sr. for an on
premise consumption Liquor, Beer & Wine license to be used in connection
with Gopher's located at 724 Broad Street. There will be Sunday sales.
District 1. Super District 9.
Mr. Sherman: This is a correction and there will not be Sunday sales.
Mr. Davis: Paul Davis, 1133 Fury's Ferry Road, Evans, Ga.
Mr. Sherman: The Sheriff s Department and License Department have reviewed
the application and it meets the requirements. We recommend it be approved. There are
no objectors.
Mr. Kuhlke: So move.
Mr. Bridges: Second it for discussion.
Motion adopted unanimously.
4. New Ownership: A.N.03-45: A request by Gregory A. Safford for an on
premise consumption Liquor, Beer license to be used in connection with
Crossroads located at 1102 Broad Street. There will be dance. District 1.
Super District 9.
Mr. Safford: My name is Gregory Safford and I live at 3188 Wheeler Road.
Mr. Sherman: There are no objectors present. The Sheriffs Department and the
License Department have reviewed the application and recommend that it be approved.
Mr. Kuhlke: So move.
Mr. Bridges: Second.
Motion adopted unanimously.
6. Discussion: A request by the Richmond County Sheriff's Department for a
hearing to consider the possible probation, suspension or revocation of the
Alcohol license held by Brenda Johnson for Club Malibu located at 1511
North Leg Road for the following violation: excessive noise. District 3.
Super District 10. (Referred from October 13 Public Services)
Mr. Sherman: They are presently working on soundproofing the building. The
Sheriff s Department has not had any complaints since that time and we would ask that
we continue this and bring it back.

Mr. Kuhlke: Why don't we carry this forward to our committee meeting in about
a month's time. I move that we ask them to come back a month from today.
Mr. Bridges: I second.
Motion adopted unanimously.
5. New Ownership: A.N. 03-46: A request by Jay Jahn for an on premise
consumption Liquor, Beer & Wine license to be used in connection with
Tailwinds located at 1543 Aviation Way. District 1. Super District 9.
Mr. Sherman: The applicant isn't here at this time.
Mr. Harris: We'd like to reschedule it to November 10 if we could.
Mr. Kuhlke: I'll so move.
Mr. Bridges: Second.
Motion adopted unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.

Replacement of Item 9 with the following: Approve removal from the SPLOST Phase II
& III Program and add to the SPLOST Phase V Program the North Leg Bridge Widening
($22,000), Berckmans Road Improvements ($2,713,000) and Washington Road
Sidewalks, Phase III ($66,000). (See attachment)
