Mays, Chairman; Bridges, Co-Chairman; Kuhlke and Colclough, members; Jim Wall, Attorney; Rob Sherman, License & Inspections Director; Tom Beck, Recreation Dept. Director; Lena Bonner, Clerk of Commission. ABSENT: Hon. Bob Young, Mayor. Also Present: Heidi Williams of The Augusta Chronicle and Stacey Eidson of The Metropolitan Spirit and Hons. Beard, Williams, Cheek, Boyles and Hankerson, Commissioners. 3. New Ownership: A.N. 03-19: A request by Gregory Glover for an on premise consumption Liquor, Beer & Wine license to be used in connection with Revelations located at 3415 Y:. Wrightsboro Road. There will be dance. District 3. Super District 10. Mr. Sherman: Mr. Glover is not here. Could we postpone this to the next meeting? There are no objectors present. Mr. Kuhlke: I so move that we postpone this to the next committee meeting. I Mr. Colclough: Second. Motion adopted lInanimously. 5. Motion to approve a contract with Melrose South Pyrotechnics, Inc. for the July 4th Celebration fireworks display. Mr. Kuhlke: So move. Mr. Colclough: Second. Motion adopted unanimously. 1. Discuss increasing penalties and suspensions for alcohol sales to minors. (Requested by Commissoner Hankerson) (Deferred from May 27 Public Services) Mr. Wall: The first offense is a suspension rather than a probation and that is one change from the way it is presently. I Mr. Colclough: I make a motion that this be approved Mr. Bridges: Second Mr. Kuhlke: I'd like to make a substitute motion that we defer any action on this until our next committee meeting and that we get a recommendation from the Sheriff's Department and License & Inspection regarding this resolution at our next meeting. I Mr. Bridges: I second it. Motion adopted with Mr. Colclough voting No. 2. Motion to approve a special exception to allow for the Installation of pole banners promoting the July 4th Celebration on light posts within Augusta Common and the 8th Street Plaza. Mr. Kuhlke: So move. Mr. Bridges: Second Motion adopted unanimously. 4. Motion to reaffirm the previous action to notify Commissioners about various city sponsored events. (Requested by Commissioner Mays in June 2 Commission meeting) Mr. Kuhlke: I make a motion that we direct the Administrator to notify commissioners of any significant events held in the city. I Mr. Bridges: Second. Mr. Beck: I think that is what we would suggest. We have a master calendar that is produced for our own purposes and we can include those events at the Riverwalk in a master list that would be a good synopsis for you. We will add the number the spectators to that and also the economic impact and we can give it to you either on a monthly or quarterly basis as you deem necessary. Motion adopted unanimously.
