PRESENT: Hons. Bob Young, Mayor; Mays, Chairman; Bridges, Co-Chairman;
Kuhlke and Colclough, members; Jim Wall, Attorney; Walter Hornsby and Fred Russell,
Deputy Administrators; North Williamson, Tax Commissioner's Office; Rob Sherman,
License & Inspections Director; Lena Bonner, Clerk of Commission.
Also Present: Hons. Williams, Hankerson, Boyles, Commissioners.
1. Update from the Tax Commissioner's Office regarding the list of delinquent
property and/or business taxes that are associated with businesses renewing
alcohol licenses. (Deferred from February 10 Public Services)
Mr. Williamson: This had been honed down to about 24 accounts, and at the
present time of those 24, five of them have been paid, seven are out of business, one is
under a levy, one is bankrupt and three are real estate only. The rest of them just have
not applied for the license yet.
Mr. Sherman: We figured out that a couple of those are not going to reopen and
some are in the process of making payments and will be getting their licenses.

Mr. Williamson: We will be glad to make some arrangements for payments for
these people but some haven't applied.
After further discussion, Mr. Kuhlke: I move we accept it as information.
Mr. Colclough: Second.
Motion adopted unanimously.
2. Discussion: A request by Beth Wood for a Therapeutic Massage License to
be used in connectioll with D J & Co. located at 139 Davis Rd. District 7.
Super District 10.
Ms. Wood: I'm Beth Wood, 3831 Villa Lane, Martinez, Ga.
Mr. Shennan: The License Department and the Sheriff's Department have
reviewed the application and it does meet the requirements and we recommend it be
approved.
Mr. Kuhlke: So move.
Mr. Colclough: Second.

Discussion: A request by Dwight J. Williams for a Massage Therapy
Operators License to be used in connection with D. J.'s Hair Studio located
at 139 Davis Rd. District 7. Super District 10.

Mr. Williams: D. J. Williams, 4479 Woodberry Ct., Evans, Ga.
Mr. Sherman: The License Department and the Sheriff's Department have
reviewed the application and recommend it be approved.
Mr. Colclough: So move.
Mr. Kuhlke: Second.
Motion adopted unanimously.
4. Discussion: A request by Vicki Platt for a Therapeutic Massage License to
be used in connection with Vicki Platt Massage located at 813 Metcalf St.
District 3. Super District 10.
Ms. Platt: Vicki Platt, 1307 Holden St., Augusta, Ga.
Mr. Sherman: The Sheriffs Department and the License Department have
reviewed the application and recommend it be approved.
Mr. Colclough: So move.

5. New Application: A.N.03-05: A request by Brenda Johnson for an on
Premise consumption Liquor, Beer & Wine license to be used in connection
with Club Malibu located at 1511 North Leg Rd. There will be a dance hall.
District 3. Super District 10.
Ms. Johnson: My name is Brenda Johnson, 68 Knight Lane, Trenton, SC.
Mr. Sherman: The Sheriffs Department and the License Department have
reviewed the application and recommend it be approved.
Mr. Kuhlke: So move.
Mr. Chairman: Second.
Motion adopted unanimously.

New Application: A.N. 03-06: A request by Paul M. Davis for an on premise
consumption Liquor, Beer & Wine license to be used in connection with
Cocon ut' s located at 469 Highland Ave. There will be a dance hall. District
1. Super District 9.

Mr. Davis: Paul Davis, 1133 Fury's Ferry Rd., Evans, Ga
Mr. Sherman: The Sheriff's Department and License Department have reviewed
the application and recommend approval.
Mr. Colclough: So move.
Mr. Kuhlke: Second.
Motion adopted unanimously.
7. New Ownership: A.N.03-07: A request by Michael L. Anglin for an on
Premise consumption Liquor & Beer license to be used in connection with
the Red Lion Pub located at 1936 Walton Way. There will be a dance hall.
District 2. Super District 9.
Mr. Anglin: Michael Anglin, 321 W. Lakeshore Drive, Martinez, Ga.

Mr. Sherman: The Sheriffs Department and License Department have reviewed
the application and recommend approval.
Mr. Mays: I'll second it to get it on the floor.
Motion adopted unanimously.
8. Discussion: A request by !be RCSD for a hearing to consider the possible
probation, suspension or revocation of the a1coholllcense held by Bong Keun
Choi for Walton Way Supermarket located at 1931 Walton Way for the
following violation: sale of alcohol to a minor. District 1. Super District 9.
Mr. Sherman: We received a fax Friday that the owner is out of the country but
the manager is here.
Mr. Marlin Williams: I am the manager of the Walton Way Supermarket and the
owners are in Korea on a family emergency. Mrs. Choi will be back on the 27th and I
was asking for a possible postponement or rescheduling of the hearing.
Mr. Kuhlke: I move that we postpone it to the next committee meeting.
