Kolb, Administrator, W. Hornsby and F. Russell Deputy Administrators, J. Wall, Attorney R. Sherman and L. Harris L&I Dept., T. Beck, Recreation Dept., L. Bonner, Clerk of Commission. ABSENT: B. Young, Mayor. MEDIA: H. Williams, Augusta Chronicle, Channel 26. 1. Motion to approve the renewal of an agreement with Mr. Michael Moody as the Head Tennis Professional at Newman Tennis Center. Mr. Kuhlke: So move for approval. Mr. Colclough: Second. Motion carries unanimously. 2. New Application: A.N. 02-35: A request by Vera Stewart for an on premise consumption Liquor, Beer & Wine license to be used in connection with Very Vera located at 3113 Washington Road. There will be Sunday sales. District 7. Super District 10. I Ms. Stewart: Vera Stewart 600 Bourne Place, Augusta. Mr. Sherman: This applicant meets the requirements of the L&I Dept., and the Sheriff's Office and we recommend approval. (No objectors) Mr. Kuhlke: So move for approval. Mr. Colclough: Second. Motion carries unanimously with Mr. Colclough voting no on Sunday sales. 3. New Ownership: A.N. 02-36: A request by Mark H. Zagar for a retail package Liquor, Beer & Wine license to be used in connection with Stevens Creek Wine & Spirits located at 1061 Stevens Creek Road. District 7. Super District 10. Mr. Kuhlke: I move we postpone this item until the next Committee meeting. I Mr. Bridges: Second. 1 Motion carritrs unanimously. 4. Discussion: A request by Lisa M. Kohler for a Therapeutic Massage license to be used in connection with Hand Over Stress located at 106 Pleasant Home Road. District 7. Super District 10. I Ms. Kohler: Lisa Kohler 6640 Green Planation Rd, Harlem, GA. Mr. Sherman: The Sheriff's Dept. and the L&I Dept have reviewed the application and recommend approval. (No objectors) Mr. Bridges: So move for approval. Mr. Kuhlke: Second. Motion carries unanimously. 5. Discussion: A request by Heather Menger for a Therapeutic Massage license to be used in connection with Hand Over Stress located at 106 Pleasant Home Road. District 7. Super District 10. Ms. Menger: Heather Menger 3022 Sterling Rd, Augusta. Mr. Sherman: The Sheriff's Dept. and the L&I Dept have reviewed the I application and recommend approval. (No objectors) Mr. Bridges: So move for approval. Mr. Kuhlke: Second. Motion carries unanimously. 6. Discussion: A request by Melanie Cobb for a Therapeutic Massage license to be used in connection with Melanie Cobb Massage Therapist located at 3320 Washington Road, Ste. A. District 7. Super District 10. Ms. Cobb: Melanie Cobb 4920 Caven Place Grovetown, GA. Mr. Sherman: The Sheriff's Dept. and the L&I Dept have reviewed the application and recommend approval. Ms. Crouser: Sarah Crouser 3928 Marsella Court, Martinez. Mr. Sherman: The Sheriff's Dept. and the L&I Dept have reviewed the application and recommend approval. (No objectors) Mr. Bridges: So move for approval. Mr. Kuhlke: Second. Motion carries unanimously. 8. Discussion: A request by Barbara Lasky for a Therapeutic Massage license to be used in connection with Essential Touch Massage Therapy located at 1064 Alexander Drive. District 7. Super District 10. Ms. Lasky: Barbara Lasky 1018 Old Marks Dr. Augusta. I Mr. Sherman: The Sheriff's Dept. and the L&I Dept have reviewed the application and recommend approval. (No objectors) Mr. Bridges: So move for approval. Mr. Kuhlke: Second. Motion carries unanimously. Mr. Wall: We would like to request that items 9 and 10 be pulled from the agenda until we can address some issues regarding these Ordinances. 9. Approve an ordinance amendment to Augusta Richmond County Code Section 2-1-29 providing for the registration of (building industry) contractor owned/used vehicles and the issuance of decals to be placed on said vehicles. 10. Approve an ordinance amendment to Augusta Richmond County Code Section 7-1-91 providing for an increase in the penalty for commencing work without a permit. Mr. Colclough: So move for approval.
