New Ownership Application: A.N. 01-74: A request by Kyung Ae Kye for a retail
package beer & wine license to be used in connection with J.K Food Store located
at 3104 Wrightsboro Road. District S. Super District 9.
Mr. Brigham: So move.
Mr. Kuhlke: Second.
Motion carried unanimously.
Approval of Memorandum of Understanding between Augusta Housing Authority
and Augusta Richmond County Recreation and Parks for Summer Youth Program
funded by the Housing Authority and implemented by the Recreation Department
in the amount of $40,000.

Mr. Brigham: Second.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion to approve the acceptance of a grant award from the State of Georgia
Children and Youth Coordinating Council-Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention
in the amount of $33,000 for implementation of the MACH Academy's Technology
and Tennis for Life program.
Mr. Mays: So move.
Mr. Kuhlke: Second.
Motion carried unanimously.
New Application: A.N. 01-76: A request by Young Sik Choe for a retail package
beer & wine license to be used in connection with C.T. Market located at 1466 Essie
McIntyre Blvd. District S. Super District 9.

Mr. Harris: The L&1 Departments recommendation is for denial of this
application because of opposition from the Sheriffs Office related to criminal activity at
this location.

Mr. Kuhlke: So move to deny.
Mr. Brigham: Second.
Motion carried unanimously.
Discussion: A request by J. Todd Ellis for an arcade license to be used in connection
with the Pilot Travel Center #144 located at 2975 Gnn Club Road. District 7. Super
District 10.
Ms. Ford, Carleen Ford, Manager, Truck Stop and Ken Rickard, Attorney, Pilot
Travel Center.
Mr. Harris: This is a request for an arcade license to be used in connection with
the Pilot Travel Center. The applicants have met all requirements of the L&I Dept.and
we recommend approval.
Mr. Brigham: So move.
Mr. Mays: Second.

Discussion: A request by Vanessa Song-Rogers for an extension to purchase the
retail package beer & wine license to be used in connection with Savin Haven #1
located at 3763 Peach Orchard Road. District 6. Super District 10.
Ms. Rogers: Vanessa Song-Rogers 810 Shackleford Place, Evans.
Mr. Harris: The applicants were approved at the November 7, 2000 regular
Commission meeting. At that time they had some financial and design problerns with the
building and were not able to purchase the license and asked for an extension from this
body. They are now able to purchase the license.
Mr. Kuhlke: So move.
Mr. Brigham: Second.
Motion carried unanimously.
Discussion: A request by American Flea Markets, LLC for a Flea Market License to I
be used in connection with the Augusta Indoor Flea Market located at 2807 Wylds

Road. All merchandise and vendors must be kept inside. District 3. Super District
10.
Mr. Maddox: Mike Maddox 314 Kelveston Dr., Rockhill, Sc.
Mr. Walker: This property is owned by this company which is the old Waccamaw
building. The applicant meets all requirements and we recommend approval.
Mr. Mays: So move.
Mr. Kuhlke: Second.
Motion carried unanimously.
