Bonner, Clerk of Commission. ABSENT: B. Young, Mayor. MEDIA: S. Cooper, Augusta Chronicle, S. Eidson, Metro Spirit, G. Eskola, Channel 6, Channel 12. Clerk: We have a request for an addendum it=: Motion to approve Lease Agreement with McAir Aviation for office and tie down space at Bush Field. Mr. Brigham: So move to add. Mr. Kuhlke: Second. Motion carried unanimously. ..1 ':: Motion to approve the implementation of criminal background checks for volunteers providing youth services in the Recreation .and Parks Department. Mr. Kuhlke: So move. Mr. Mays: Second. Motion carried unanimously. Accept low bid of $117,260.00 submitted by T.e.A. Electrical Contractors, Inc. to install runway lights on runway 11.29. Mr. Kuhlke: So move. Mr. Mays: Second. Motion carried unanimously. Motion to approve the promotion of ten (10) Bus Operator II to Bus Operator I with S% increase (Funds are budgeted). I Mr. Kuhlke: So move. Mr. Mays: Second. Motion carried unanimously. Accept a Georgia DOT grant of$2S0,000.00 to overlay runway 11-29. Mr. Kuhlke: So move. Mr. Mays: Second. Mo.tion carried unanimously Motion to approve Fruit N' Juicy, Inc. as the contractor for Food and Beverage Concession for the Recreation and Parks Department for the year 2000. Kwon for a retail package beer & wine license to be used in connection with Comet Gas & Service located at 2320 Peach Orchard Road. District 2. Super District 9. Mr. Kwon: Byung H. Kwon, 1919 Dunham Court. Mr. Walker: This applicant meets all requirements of the L&I Department and the Sheriffs Department and we recommend approval. (No objectors) Mr. Brigham: So move for approval. Mr. Kuhlke: Second. Motion carried unanimously. New Application: A.N. 00-20: A request by Laurie B. Hudson for a consumption on premise liquor license to be used in connection with the Boll Weevil Cafe & Sweetery located at #10 Ninth Street. District 1. Super District 9. Ms. Hudson: Laurie B. Hudson, 2212 Crestwood Drive. Mr. Walker: This applicant meets all requirements of the L&I Department and the Sheriffs Department and we recommend approval. (No objectors) Mr. Williams: So move for approval. I I I I Mr. Brigham: Second. Motion carried unanimously. New Application: A.N. 00-21: A request by David E. Greenfield to transfer the consumption on premise liquor, beer & wine license used in connection with Limelite Cafe located at 132S Augusta West Parkway to 1143 Agerton Lane. There will be Sunday sales. District 3. Super District 10. Mr. Greenfield: David E. Greenfield, 3003 Norwood Court. Mr. Walker: This applicant meets all requirements of the L&I Department and the Sheriffs Department and we recommend approval. (No objectors) Mr. Brigham: So move for approval. Mr. Kuhlke: Second. Motion carried with Mr. Colclough voting no on Sunday sales. I New Application: A.N. 00-22: A request by Clarence L. Richardson for a retail package beer & wine license used in connection with Stop N' Shop located at 3020 Tobacco Road. District 4. Super District 9. Mr. Richardson: Clarence L. Richardson, 115 Laurel Bluff Road, Lexington, S.C. Mr. Walker: This applicant meets all requirements of the L&I Department and the Sheriffs Department and we recommend approval. Seven objectors present. Mr. Brigham: So move for approval. Mr. Kuhlke: Second. After further discussion, Mr. Mays: I would like to make a motion to send this to the full Commission without recommendation. Motion fails for lack of a second. Mr. Chairman: Is there any objection to this going on to the full Commission without recommendation? I New Application: A.N. 00-23: A request by Terry L. Wick for a consumption on premise liquor, beer & wine license to be used in connection with The Clubhouse located at 2S67 Washington Road. There will be Sunday sales. District 7. Super District 10. Mr. Walker: The Sheriffs Department ask that you send this forward to the Commission without recommendation because there is still information that they need. Mr. Brigham: So move. Mr. Kuhlke: Second. Motion carried unanimously. Discussion: A request by Mike Smith Catering d/b/a Plantation House for a special event license for seven days at The Windsor Building located at 2701 Washington Road for consumption on premise liquor, beer & wine for April 3'd through April 9th, 2000. There will be Sunday sales. District 7. Super District 10. Mr. Smith: Mike Smith 880 Windmill Lane. Mr. Walker: This applicant meets all requirements of the L&I Department and the Sheriff's Department and we recommend approval. (No objectors) Mr. Kuhlke: So move. Mr. Mays: Second. Motion carried unanimously. Motion to approve Lease Agreement with McAir Aviation for office and tie down space at Bush Field. Mr. Brigham: So move to add. Mr. Kuhlke: Second.
