of Commission.
ALSO PRESENT: S. Cooper, Augusta Chronicle, S. Eidson, Metro Spirit.
Clerk: NIr. Chairman and members of the Committee we have a request for two
addendum items:
I. A request to approve Change Order #5 for $20,552 to Excel Design and Construction,
Inc. for grading and paving at Blythe Recreation Center.
2. Discuss recommendations for picnic shelter improvements at Woodlake Park.
Mr. Colclough. So move.
Mr. Kuhlke: Second.
Motion carried unanimously.

New Ownership: A.N. 99-68: Consider a request by Rui Feng Huang for an on
premise consumption beer & wine license to be used in connection with China Star
Restaurant located at 2906 Peach Orchard Rd. District 8. Super District 10.
Mr. Huang: Rui Feng Huang, 2119 Lumpkin Rd.
Mr. Walker: This applicant has met all requirements of [he Alcohol Ordinance
and the Sheriffs Department and we recommend approval. (No objectors)
Mr. Kuhlke: So move.
Mr. Brigham: Second.
Motion curried ununimously.
New Ownership: A.N. 99-69: Consider a request by Margaret S. Butler for an on
premise consumption beer & wine license to be used in connection with U. B.'s
Restuurant locuted at 1944 Wulton Way. There will be Sunduv sales. District 1.
Super District 9.

Ms. Butler: Margaret 5. Butler, 320B Broad 51.
Mr. Walker: This applicant meets all requirements of the Alcohol Ordinance and I
the Sheriffs Department and we recommend approval. (No objectors)
Mr. Kuhlke: So move.
Mr. Brigham: Second.
Motion carried ununimously.
A request to accept the low bid of $244,367.50 submitted by Beam Pavement
Maintenunce Company, Inc. to rehabilitute and overlay the aircraft purking apron
with $12,218.37 from Daniel Field funds.
Mr. Colclough: So move.
Mr. Brigham: Second.
Motion carried unanimousiy.
A request to approve Chunge Order #5 for $20,552 to Excel Design and
Construction, Inc. for gruding and paving at Blythe Recreation Center.
Mr. Kuhlke: So move.

Motion curried unanimously.
Discuss recommendations for picnic shelter improvements at \Voodluke Park.
Mr. Beck: About three months ago, we asked you to and you approved to move
up some funding from the year 2000, $40,000 worth of the $100,000 that was approved
for the park be moved up into 1999 so we could get some things accomp lished out there.
We have staned on those improvements at the park. We have had several'meetings with
the Neighborhood Association and it is our opinion that the shelter really could be
renovated and brought into very top notch standards for approximately $8,000 where
tearing that one down and building a new shelter would cost about $15,000.
ivlr. Colclough: Those folks definitely wanted a metal shelter out there. The funds
were allocated for that.

Mr. Colclough: I will go back and present the ideas of an expanded basket ball
court and possibly tennis courts to the Neighborhood Associacion. I would like to defer
this until the next meeting.
Mr. Kuhlke: I so move that we postpone anything on this until our next
Committee meeting.
Mr. Brigham: Second.
Motion curried unanimously.
With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned.
