Mr. Myers: Charles Myers, 1801 Maryland Avenue. I Mr. Walker: This application meets all requirements of the License & Inspection Department and the Sheriff's Department and we recommend approval. (4 Objectors) Spokesperson for objectors: Ms. Shirley Fleeman, 1862 Central Avenue, we feel the preservation of the neighborhood is important. We have no objection to the restaurant selling food our objection is selling beer. Mr. Brigham: I move we send this to the full Commission without a recommendation. Mr. Kuhlke: Substitute motion: I move that we approve this application considering that there is approval by the Planning Commission and License & Inspection and the Sheriff's Department have no problem with it. Mr. Colclough: Second. Motion fails with Mr. Brigham voting no and Mr. Mays voting present. I, I I Discussion: Consider a request by George V. Raley for a Sunday sales permit to be used in connection with his current on premise consumption liquor, beer & wine license for Wheeler Tavern located at 3664 Wheeler Rd. Mr. Walker. Mr. Raley could not be here today because of sickness. However, this application does not meet the requirements of Sunday Sales therefore, we are disapproving this application. I Mr. Brigham: So move to deny. Mr. Colclough: Second. Motion carried. A request from the Recreation Director for a motion to approve the employment of Patricia Darlington as the Augusta Aquatic Center Director at a starting salary of $36,000.00. Mr. Kuhlke: I move that we accept the recommendation of the Recreation Director and aHow him to go ahead and make an offer for this position. Mr. Brigham: Second.
