I. Approve the selection of Hulton & Williams as Bond Counsel and Robinson-
Humphrey Company as Senior Underwriter for Airport Revenue Bonds.
2. New Application: AN. 99-11: Consider a request by Josh Williamson for a
consumption on premise liquor, beer & wine license to be used in connection with
Continum located at 943 Ellis St. There will be a dance hall. District I. Super
District 9.
3. New Application: AN. 99-12: Consider a request by Detasha Monise Harris for
a retail package beer & wine license to be used in connection with Eckerd Drugs
#1034 located at 1505 Walton Way. District 1. Super District 9.
4. New Application: AN. 99-13: Consider a request by Henry Todd Schafer for a
consumption on premise liquor, beer & wine license to be used in connection with
491 Bistro located at 491 B Highland Avenue. District 1. Super District 9.

retail package beer & wine license to be used in connection with Winn Dixie

8. Discussion: Consider a request by George V. Raley for a Sunday sales permit to
be used in connection with his current on premise consumption liquor, beer &
wine license for Wheeler Tavern located at 3664 Wheeler Rd. District 3. Super
District 9.
9. Motion to approve the employment of Patricia Darlington as the Augusta Aquatic
Center Director at a starting salary of $36,000.00.

Mr. Walker: This application meets all requirements of the License Department,
the Sheriff's Department has some comments. (No objectors)

Mr. Berry: We originally signed off on this but some information came to my
altention in the past few days. I would like a little more time to investigate this and I
should have more information by Tuesday.
Mr. Kuhlke: So move to forward to the full Commission without a
recommendation.
Mr. Colclough: Second.

Department and has been approved by the Sheriff's Department and we recommend

Department and the Sheriff's Department and we recommend approval. (No objectors)

Motion carried unanimously.
New Application: Consider a request by Charles Myers for consumption on premise
beer license to be used in connection with Pizza Central located at 1858 Central
Avenue.
Mr. Myers: Charles Myers, 1801 Maryland Avenue.

Mr. Walker: This application meets all requirements of the License & Inspection
Department and the Sheriff's Department and we recommend approval. (4 Objectors)
Spokesperson for objectors: Ms. Shirley Fleeman, 1862 Central Avenue, we feel
the preservation of the neighborhood is important. We have no objection to the
restaurant selling food our objection is selling beer.
Mr. Brigham: I move we send this to the full Commission without a
recommendation.
Mr. Kuhlke: Substitute motion: I move that we approve this application
considering that there is approval by the Planning Commission and License &
Inspection and the Sheriff's Department have no problem with it.
Mr. Colclough: Second.
Motion fails with Mr. Brigham voting no and Mr. Mays voting present.

Discussion: Consider a request by George V. Raley for a Sunday sales permit to be
used in connection with his current on premise consumption liquor, beer & wine
license for Wheeler Tavern located at 3664 Wheeler Rd.
Mr. Walker. Mr. Raley could not be here today because of sickness. However,
this application does not meet the requirements of Sunday Sales therefore, we are
disapproving this application.

Mr. Brigham: So move to deny.
Mr. Colclough: Second.
Motion carried.
A request from the Recreation Director for a motion to approve the employment of
Patricia Darlington as the Augusta Aquatic Center Director at a starting salary of
$36,000.00.
Mr. Kuhlke: I move that we accept the recommendation of the Recreation
Director and aHow him to go ahead and make an offer for this position.
Mr. Brigham: Second.
Motion carries with Mr. Colclough voting present.
With no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned.
