Sconyers; Mays, Chairman; Kuhlke, Todd, Zetterberg, members; R. Oliver, Administrator; J. Wall, Attorney; P. DeCamp, Planning & Zoning; Eric Montgomery, Historic Preservation; Rob Sherman and Larry Harris, License & Inspection Department; A. McDill, Director Bush Field. ALSO PRESENT: Lena Bonner, Clerk of Commission and Belinda Brown of the Clerks office, Sylvia Cooper, Augusta Chronicle; Stacy Eidson, Metro Spirit. CLERK: We have a request from the License & Inspection Department to delete item 10. MR. TODD: So move. MR. Zetterberg: Second. Motion carried unanimously. We have one addendum item: Approval of a purchase order for shipping charges to Triple "Cn Transportation in the amount of $100,000 for shipment of twelve (12) acres (8,100,000 Ibs.) of military surplus perforated steel planking (PSP) material. MR. KUHLKE: So move. MR. TODD: Second. Motion carried unanimously. A communication from Mr. Paul DeCamp, Jr., regarding the demolition request of Mr. Johnny Weathers for 726 Hickman Road. MR. TODD: I would like to make a motion that we postpone this item until the January 12 Commictee meeting and on to the January 20 Commission meeting. I would like to get a recommendation from the Historic Augusta Committee. MR. ZETTERBERG: Second. Motion carried unanimously. Discussion: Special Event: A request by Anthony Louis Fruehauf for a special event one day (January 22, 1998) consumption on premise beer & wine license to be used in connection with Rader Volkswagen located at 3061 Washington Rd. Mr. Fruehauf: Anthony Louis Fruehauf, 904 Bon Air Drive. Mr. Harris: This applicant has meet all requirements of the I License & Inspection Department and the Sheriff's Department and we recommend approval. No objectors. MR. ZETTERBERG: So move. MR. Ri vera for a I consumption on premise beer & wine license to be used in connection . with Los Hermanos Restaurant located at 2960 Old Highway ~l. Mr. Harris: Fernando B. Rivera, has taken a new job and he had to be there. This is his brother Miguel Rivera. Everything has been approved by the License Department and the Sheriff's Department, we recommend approval. There are no objectors. MR. TODD: So move. MR. KUHLXE: Second. Motion carried unanimously. A request from Al McDill to approve the purchase order for shipping charges to Triple ncn Transportation in the amount of $100,000 for shipment of twelve (12) acres (8,100,000 lbs.) of military surplus perforated steel planking (PSP) material. Mr. McDill: We have located some military surplus property that is referred to as Derforated steel Dlankina that is used for temporary runway constr{iction in the military. W-e have experienced at the airporc a 50% increase over the last two years the need for additional aircraft parking space. My intenc is to use this property to conscruct about 12 acres of additional aircraft parking I space. MR. TODD: So move. MR. KUHLXE: Second. Motion carried unanimously.
