PRESENT: Hons. Larry Sconyers, Mayor; Mays, Chairman;
Kuhlke, Vice-Chairman; Zetterberg, member; Charles Dillard,
Interim Administrator for Operations; Linda Beazley, Interim
Administrator for Administration; Heyward Johnson, Acting Transit
Manager; Lena Bonner, Clerk of Commission-Council and Nancy
Morawski, Deputy Clerk of Commission-Council.
ABSENT: Hon. Moses Todd, member.
Also Present: Sylvia Cooper of the Augusta Chronicle and
George Eskola of WJBF Television.
The Committee first considered approval of contracts between
Augusta-Richmond County and Ashley Combs, Faye Davis, Seth Dean,
Brad Raycroft, Joselyn Lawson, Rodriques Antonia Johnson, Vanita
Holman and William Brian Ford regarding their participation
as officiants in sporting events sponsored by the Augusta-
Richmond County Recreation Department.
Mr. Kuhlke: I move approval.
Mr. Zetterberg: Second.
Motion adopted unanimously.
Communication from the Acting Transit Manager recommending
approval of the following Transit Policy regarding discount
tickets:
Non-profit organizations providing a community service
to the unemployed or disadvantaged citizens of Augusta-
Richmond County may apply for discount tickets.
Committee approval will be dependent upon the number of
organizations applying for the discount tickets.
Listed below are the non-profit organizations presently
receiving the discount tickets:
Community Mental Health/Georgia Regional
Veterans Administration
Richmond Co. Dept. of Family & Children Services
Community Development
Safe Homes
CSRA EOA
Augusta Boxing Club
Adult Education
Treatment Center - GA Dept. of Human Resources
Juvenile Court
Lyndale School and Training Center D
Child and Family Intervention Services at University
Hospital
Catholic Social Services of Augusta
Richmond County Health Department
After a short discussion, Mr. Kuhlke:

Communication from the Acting Transit Manager submitting
a request from the Georgia Youth Advocate Program, Inc. to
purchase discount tickets, was read.
Mr. Johnson: I would recommend they be added.
Mr. Kuhlke: I move for approval.
Mr. Zetterberg: Second.
Motion adopted unanimously.
Communication from the Acting Transit Manager submitting
for review and comments a draft copy of the proposed RFP for
bus advertising, was read.

Mr. Johnson: In the past Shelter was cooperative in
removing any ads that we felt were not in good taste. We haven't
had a real problem with that.
Mr. Chairman: Jim, do you think you could review this
and report back to us at our next meeting?
Mr. Wall: Yes, I could probably do that by the 3rd.
Mr. Kuhlke: I move that Mr. Wall review it and bring it
back to the full Commission on the 3rd.
Mr. Zetterberg:
I'll second it.
Motion adopted unanimously.
Mr. Wall: I have a report where you requested that we
meet with the Super C Seminoles. We need to be careful that
we are exposed to some liability and we may want to do something
to show some type of support by virtue of security at games
or selling tickets through the departments.
Mr. Kuhlke: I move we receive this as information.
Mr. Zetterberg: Second.
