Williams, Chairman; Shepard and Beard, members; Jim Wall, Attorney; Tameka Allen, IT Director; Phil Wasson, 911 Center; Mary Ann Gibbs, Sheriff's Department; Lena Bonner, Clerk of Commission. ABSENT: Hon. Boyles, Co-Chairman. Also Present: George Eskola ofWJBF Television, other members of the news media and Hon. Mays, Commissioner. 1. Motion to authorize purchase of replacement PCs for the Augusta 9-1-1 Center. Mr. Beard: I move for approval. Mr. Shepard: Second. Motion adopted unanimously. 2. Approve Amendment to Augusta-Richmond County Code Title 2, Chapter 1, Section 3 Subsection (a) to provide a $72.00 administrative fee. I Mr. Beard: I move for approval. Mr. Shepard: Second. Motion adopted unanimously. 3. Motion to approve the purchase of ammunition for year 2003 for the Training Range Section. M r. Shepard: I so move. Mr. Beard: Second. Motion adopted unanimously. 4. Consider a request from the Solicitor regarding the allocation of a gift of $10,000 to the Child Enrichment, Inc. with funding from the 5% Crime Bill Monies. I Mr. Wall: I assume that this is not a gift to Child Enrichment but is a gift from Child Enrichment. We cannot make a gift and I don't know what the details of this are. Can we send it without a recommendation and I'll try to talk with Sheryl. Mr. Shepard: I so move we send it on with no recommendation. Mr. Beard: Second. I Motion adopted unanimously. 5. Approve purchase of licenses and implementation services for George Butler Associates (GBA) software to enable management of customer complaints, work orders and resources. Mr. Shepard: I so move. Mr. Beard: Second. Motion adopted unanimously. 6. Approve TeamIA Scope of Work for performing the analysis for the Optika Imaging Engine replacement and the upgrade to a browser-based Public Access. Mr. Beard: I move for approval. Motion adopted unanimously. I' Mr. Shepard: Second. 7. Approve the purchase of Uniforms and Accessories for the SheriWs Office to Command Uniforms. Mr. Beard: I move for approvaL Mr. Shepard: Second for discussion. Is this the low bid? Ms. Gibbs: Yes, sir. Motion adopted unanimously. 8. Approve the purchase of Gortex Rain Jackets and Pants for the Sheriff's Office to Command Uniforms. Mr. Beard: Is this the low bid? Ms. Gibbs: Yes, sir. Mr. Shepard: So move. I 2 Mr. Beard: Second. I Motion adopted unanimously. 9. Approve the purchase of Uniforms for the SheriWs Office (School Patrol) to Sidney's Department Store. Mr. Shepard: Low bid? Ms. Gibbs: Low bid. Mr. Shepard: So move. Mr. Beard: Second. Motion adopted unanimously. Mr. Beard: There has been an article in the paper for the last couple of days that no one has commented on. I wanted to ask the Mayor ifhe wanted to comment on it and I think: it should be discussed. Perhaps we can discuss it on Tuesday because it involves ethics in this city.
